Tourists are now “guided by ModoWon”

Local software compant Modo Won N.V. recently launched a (way cool) software for PDA’s. It is aproduct geared for the tourist market and allows the user to use a PDA - which can be rented from the airport (and I am told other locations will follow) - to be guided  to places to stay, visit, eat. It can also help you find and book activities for an enjoyable stay. It has GPS capality and can even tell you how far you are from a  specific location.  The PDA has also information about Aruba’s history, culture, music and art. Forget the map and all the flyers.  Practical and friendly to our environment. Modo Won N.V.  has an alliance with www.aruba.com and is powered by www.tutixxp.com

I am proud to have assisted Modo Won from incorporation to launch. www.modowon.com

P.G. looses civil injuction against Aruba.

On June 5th, 2007 The Courts of Aruba declared a civil claim of the prosecutor general (“PG”) inadmissible. The  PG demanded that her pension to be adjusted in accordance to certain promises made by Aruba. The Court ruled that the PG had sought the wrong legal recourse by addressing the civil court.  Acording to the Court, the PG should have sought legal remedy through the administrative courts. The latter legal recourse is available to the PG as of June 7th, 2007.

On June 6th, 2007 I gave legal commentary on the subject for ATV Channel 15.
